If it was still 1998 or something, I'd say sure, just do the 60k kit, but, it's not. Your 1991 TT is 19yrs old, and there's no telling what damage time has done to parts that were designed to wear out after a certain amount of time. Yes there's only 61k on the clock, but time is the determining factor here. If you had bought the car this year and the owner told you that the spark plugs (example maintenance part) hadn't been changed since the car was built, would you wait until 100,000k (recommended interval for plugs) to install replacement plugs, no, at least I would sure hope not;) No question here, spend a lil extra and get piece of mind knowing that you did it right the first time.
